On June 5th, 2023, I found myself in the backyard with my beloved dog Ethel, attempting to teach her a new trick. As I stood there with a treat in hand, I could see the confusion in her eyes as she tried to decipher what I was asking of her. Despite her initial hesitation, I remained patient and continued to guide her through the process, offering encouragement and praise along the way. Slowly but surely, Ethel began to understand what was expected of her, and before long, she had successfully mastered the new trick. It was a proud moment for both of us, and I couldn’t help but feel grateful for the bond we shared and the joy she brought into my life.
